Earth Day. Mother Nature is our Treasure

“If you truly Love Nature you will find beauty Everywhere.” Vincent Van Gogh

On the 22nd Of April Earth Day is globally celebrated. A day which officially began in 1970 in the United States to bring awareness to the Public for the first time about environmental issues, after a massive Oil Spill occurred in California, which brought together 20 million people to request better laws to protect our lands.

“Earth Day 1970 achieved a rare political alignment, enlisting support from Republicans and Democrats, rich and poor, city slickers and farmers, tycoons, and labor leaders. By the end of that year, the first Earth Day had led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Clean AirClean Water, and Endangered Species Acts. “It was a gamble,” Gaylord recalled, “but it worked.”EarthDay HistoryLove Mother Earth

Since 1990 it became global and it helped in spreading the awareness of the need to care for our beautiful Planet as a direct link to our own wellness. What we do to nature we do it to ourselves. And thanks to the expansion of this knowledge that many laws and achievements have been made. But there is still much more to do.

This year is dedicated to End Plastic Pollution which is becoming a real threat to all the Earth Ecosystem and as a result, to our health and wellbeing. Visit their great website to learn more about what you can do too locally. Earth Day.org

In my years of travels, in almost every place I would visit in Nature, there were always a variety of souvenirs as a testimony of human presence. It has always been something I have never comprehended.

When we visit Nature we are always filled with so many gifts, from the beauty of the surroundings to the rejuvenation of our mental and physical bodies, the laughters, the happiness, the rise of our frequencies. And what do we give in return? Rubbish, even when there are no bins and you know nobody is going to pick it up.

My question has always been. What does it cost us to bring back home the rubbish that we have created? What does it cost to put back into the bags that we have brought all the cans of soda, the plastic etc. etc. and throw them into the nearest containers? For me, it has always been a very easy answer, but unfortunately, I had to realize that for the majority such is not the case. So then what happens? Laws need to be enforced for people to carry out what is just not only common sense but should come as a natural respect for our own Home, for that environment that is allowing us to live and fills us with positivity, constantly, if we only become aware of it.blossom flowers

Mother Nature is a Treasure and never fails to surround us with her Love, in every moment, in every possible way, if we care to notice. When we become silent and mindful of her presence. And like a good Mother, she will know how to teach us the lessons of life when we do not want to listen to her. If you respect her the doors will be open and she will let you discover unimaginable places.

The magic is present in thousands of different ways. From first thing in the morning just before the sun rises and all life prepares to receive the first rays of our beautiful Sun, shining few sparks with drops of dew on petals, and continues throughout the day until sunset, and then afterwards with the moon and the starts, and the birds that also sing at night. There is magic also when it is raining because that is preventing draughts and replenishes forests which give us oxygen, grow food allowing the replenishing of our energies. Have you ever stopped and listen to the sound of raindrops falling on the ground? Your brain will thank you for it. There is magic when it is snowing and it is cold because that is what is needed to maintain the balance of the whole ecosystem.pink camellia

I never needed scientific proof that being in Nature was good for me, because I feel it, and when I do not have it, negativity rises. But those that do there are plenty of scientific researchers that prove the benefits of walking and being in Nature. You can read some here: The Japanese Practice of Forest Bathing

Not everyone is able to live in a Natural place, many are not even able to leave their houses to be in Nature, but Nature is everywhere. Birds will come to you if you feed them, flowers and plants will blossom and encourage your smile in your own home if you care a little for them, as well as clearing the atmosphere of negativity. Sometimes even looking at beautiful pictures and videos of Nature can spark that little joy within us.fluffy dandelion

Every time you feel drained, or lonely or simply lacking, just turn to Nature. Be present with all your heart, mind and soul, and she will fill you up with love and cuddles, just by noticing the life that is around you, that comes alive just because of you just at that moment, because of your observation.

A flower will spread its beauty in front of you, overjoyed that you have noticed. A bird will sing a special song just for you because it knows you are listening. Suddenly you will notice a new path to follow that you never knew existed to discover new treasures.purple cute tiny flower

Forget your worries, your problems, forget everything that drains you, that puts you down, you are entering a sacred space where there is no place for them. They are like filters that prevent you to see, hear and be conscious of the vibrations that are surrounding you.

When you will understand the unconditional love you are receiving just for being there and being mindful of such beauty, without having to be or do anything, respect will come naturally, you will feel the love in return and only want to preserve such an amazing  Treasure.

I have dedicated this new Mandala to Mother Nature which you can read more here.Love Mother Earth Mandala
