“Green is the prime color of the World, and that from which its loveliness arises.”
Pedro Calderòn de la Barca
Green is also the color of the Heart Chakra which symbolizes love, warmth, compassion, and love.
“It is the center of your deep bonds with other beings, your sense of caring and compassion, your feelings of self-love, altruism, generosity, kindness, and respect. It is an integrating and unifying chakra – bringing to wholeness – as such, it is your healing center. Indeed, most spiritual traditions recognize love as the ultimate healing force.” https://www.chakra-anatomy.com/heart-chakra.
Everything has also representation in Nature, and the succulent is the image that came to my mind when I finished this painting.
Succulents symbolize Tenacy and Determination as well as Eternal Love. They remind us that even through the hardest situations we can achieve greatness with a determined mindset and an open heart.
And I realized that this message is what resonated with me at that moment.
You can use this Mandala to connect with your Heart center, letting it guide you through whatever situation you are challenged with, at this moment and allow the lesson from the succulent to achieve your goals and overcome your obstacles.

THE PROCESS
As I have been busy with another important project, the time I have when I usually create Mandalas was used up, but I was deeply inspired to draw one and share it on Instagram, and I had only 6 hours left divided in two days. So I challenged myself and tried to see if with the help of the Universe I was going to achieve this. And to my surprise I did!!
All the Mandalas I make usually take from 12 to 20 hours depending on the project, and I usually have around 3 hours each morning to create.
So I decided on a smaller version and faster mediums like marker pens which on this type of paper give it a watercolor look.

The initial structure.
I had scribbled previously a little sketch on a preset mandala structure that I use to jot down ideas.
It was a great experiment, I had never used these marker pens on this paper and never thought it would look so well.
I then finished with a brush and acrylic gold paint to give it a shining and elegant look.
