This flowers’ proportions, to me, look absolutely perfect. It resembles a Star.
The reason why it refers to St. Mary or Mariano, according to the legend, was that the white lines on the leaves were thought to be drops of milk coming from Mother Mary. This plant was also used for helping mums to be, to produce more milk.
